Animoog for iPhone App Reviews

As a music producer like me who wants to have everything "on the go" , this app is one of the best. It truly renders the sounds of the vintage MOOG synths! KORG --> its time you start doing this in Canada!!

A synthesizer that fits in your pocket, lots of fun

I never review but this app is awesome.

Fun app. But itd be nice to be more user friendly or have a tutorial.... I also have morphwiz and it reminds me of this

Opened it up and just started messing around till I got comfortable with it. I just know Im going to waste hours with this one! :)

Played through iPhone speaker ONCE! Now only plays through headphones. This was a KNOWN BUG on the iPad release that they claimed was an iPad settings issue and not moogs problem. At least on the iPad there was a workaround involving using a mute button which doesnt exist on an iPhone! DO NOT BUY THIS APP! At least until Moog stop being arrogant morons and fix THIER BUG! Verdict: Very good (for the one time it worked, unless you always play through headphones or an external amp) Addendum: Another bug. If a call comes in. The app hangs, forever! Only option is to use task manager to shutdown completely and restart from scratch. Does anyone test these things?

Great app! Way better than filtatron! Lush sound, easy to use, works with ios5, steal at .99!! Love Moog, great company, great products legendary sound, cross-genre flexibility, and a reputation that cant be denied.For $.99 its basically like a Christmas present from Moog!! Much thanks! If you know anything about Moog youd know that theyre anything but arrogant. Great customer service!! If it doesnt work with your phone you should maybe look at the state of your phone before blaming the company who made the app.works flawlessly for me!!

i am so impressed with this app. it runs perfectly on my OS5 iphone 4. ive put hours into tinkering with the sound generation, and im only getting started. if you love synth sounds, you will love this program.

Needs a tutorial

This app is astonishing! For the price, dont hesitate, should be 10 x more for this quality. Works perfectly under iOS5. The only thing missing is a way to export recorded sequences. Otherwise, its now one of my favorite synth ever.

Great sounds but it needs help or a tutorial to teach you how to use it properly.

Well worth the .99 cents. Only thing I wish different would be that when you hit "stop" the samples should "let-ring" instead not just abruptly stop dead like they do. Eeew. Other than that this is hands down the best music app I have ever seen. Moog dont mess around and I thank thee. :D All other oscillators are toys compared to AniMoog! This is no toy. Well done sir.

I love this app... Amazing choice of sounds and innovative interactivity for sure! But MOOG can learn from Native Instruments app "iMashine." I wish animoog could allow me to save separate projects and separate samples. Currently I can only save the one sample I copied and get it through iTunes. Which in this day and age is creatively frustrating ...also im no sound engineer but it would be awesome if you could export those samples or projects to midi, like iMashine does (full midi projects with all samples in .wav) Please update this app MOOG!! ...I would gladly pay more with that type compatibility!

Totally awesome synth app. You have to plug this into your amp or stereo to get any sense of what this should sound like. Im going to have to get an iPad now cos my fingers are too phat for the iPhone screen. Totally worth a dollar.

Anyone who can use a touch screen can make complex or simple synth tones & songs. Such a great tool for fun or in the studio. Thanks MOOG!

I take time to write a review because most people dont and it this app really needs a boost. Im sure moog will actually make a real synth similar to this one because its great and the sound is incredible. Its good quality!

Well worth the .99 cents I paid when it was on sale (I wouldnt buy it at 9.99 though). Ive never had any problems with this app and Ive never encountered any bugs or crashes. Good app, lower the price though.

I havent gotten into any recording functions or exporting but the ever changing soundscapes that can be created are phenomenal. the oscilloscope provides such a deep understanding of that landscape. only downside is I really wish I had an iPad to use this but that doesnt effect the iPhones capabilities I would just enjoy the larger oscilloscope and keys at all times.
